Before becoming owner, President & CEO of Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2008, Stephen worked as a multi-line, Commercial Lines Underwriter for American States Insurance Company. Prior to that he worked for Travelers Insurance Company as a licensed National Account Liability Inside Claims adjuster, Outside adjuster and then as a Litigation Specialist. He also worked in the Finance department of the home office of Travelers in Hartford, CT.
Stephen was Vice President of the Young insurance Professionals (PIA) and nominated for the Young Insurance Professional of the Year for Connecticut in 1998. He was also Chairman of the Young Agents Committee (IIAA), and nominated for the Young Agent of the Year for Connecticut in 1999. He has served on the National Agents Advisory Council for Central Insurance Company and MSA/National Grange Insurance Company. He also has served on regional advisory councils for Harleysville Insurance Company, and Acadia Insurance Company, and presently serves on the Jonathan Trumbull agents advisory council of The Hartford and the advisory council of Utica National Insurance Group.
Stephen is also presently serving as past-President of the Northwest CT YMCA board of directors, Vice President of Five Points Gallery, Corporator for Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and Northwest Community Bank and is a board member of the Lake Titus Protective Association. He formerly served as Vice President on the board of directors for Crossroads Ranch for disadvantaged youth.
Stephen has lived locally in New Hartford, CT since 1992 and is the proud parent of Michaela, Erica and Angela Todd. Stephen has enjoyed coaching his daughters’ soccer, basketball and softball teams and they are all avid downhill skiers. Stephen enjoys golfing and has completed 84 half-marathons.

Gordon Todd (Retired)
Chairman of the Board
Born in Chasm Falls, NY, Gordon graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Syracuse University in 1960. Over the years he worked for such companies as Shell Oil and Travelers Insurance until purchasing the Burns, Brooks and McNeil insurance agency in 1980. Under his direction, the agency grew from 8 employees and $500,000 in premium to fifty employees with $40 million in premium volume. He also established several branch offices throughout CT. During his presidency, the agency was recognized as one of the fastest growing and most successful privately-owned Independent Insurance Agents in New England.
Since his retirement, Gordon has continued to take an active roll as Chairman of the agency and provides his experienced advice to Senior Management. He loves his lake home on Lake Titus in the Adirondacks during the summer and golfing.
Marianne Ulrich, CIC
Senior Vice-President and CFO
Marianne earned her BS in accounting from New Hampshire College and has over 27 years of accounting experience – the most recent 17 years in the independent insurance agency environment. Marianne thrives on financial analysis and project modeling and never shies away from being a day-to-day accountant, when needed. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family.
Brian Daly CWCA
Vice-President Sales & Marketing
Brian has 40 years experience in the Insurance industry. He has worked as an agent and in numerous management positions with various insurance companies and independent agency organizations. He holds a CWCA designation (Certified Workers Compensation Advisor). This is a Nationally recognized designation that specializes in working with clients to help control Workers Compensation exposure and costs. He and the sales, service and marketing teams are accountable for building & delivering value added solutions to our clients.
In his free time Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also enjoys golf, skiing and his favorite sports teams.
Deborah Jones, CPCU, CIC
Vice-President Property/ Casualty Operations
Deborah has been in the insurance industry for over 30 years in both Sales and Service, celebrating 19 years at Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2020. Deborah enjoys working with clients to provide them with the best solution for their needs. Deborah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, plays the clarinet with Salisbury Band & Hot Shots and has recently completed the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. Deborah and her husband spend their off time traveling & reading. Deborah has served on committees at her church and regularly supports their ministries.
Tim Moran
Claims Manager
Tim has been working in the casualty claim adjuster field for 38 years. The last 14 years he has been a member of the Brooks, Todd & McNeil family helping our insured’s through the claim process when misfortune comes their way. Tim acts as a liaison between the insured and their carrier bringing honest and straightforward evaluations and thoughts regarding coverage situations.
Tim is a 28-year volunteer fire fighter and has been a fire instructor. He was elected his town Board of Selectmen on two occasions and is an active member of the Winsted Water and Sewer Commission.

She started her career as a Commercial Underwriter for Aetna Life & Casualty and has worked in both commercial and personal insurance since then. She has been with Brooks, Todd & McNeil since 2004, working in Personal Lines Marketing.
Lisa is married with 3 sons, and has enjoyed volunteering with several school and community organizations over the years. She is currently pursuing her C.I.C., Certified Insurance Counselor designation.
Frank Polloni

Email FrankFrank began his insurance career in 1985 in Westchester, NY. In 1992, he started his own agency where he specialized in hospitality including nightclubs, bars, hotels and restaurants. He grew this business into one of the top agencies in the area for these classes of business. In 2009, Frank moved to South Carolina where he started what would turn out to be a temporary retirement. Wanting to be closer to his family in the Tri-State area, Frank moved back to CT in 2018 when he joined the Brooks, Todd & McNeil team as the Sales Development Manager. He brings to the team his outgoing personality and his high drive for success.
In his spare time Frank likes to cook, travel and attend the theater. He also likes to do volunteer work and is hoping to find the time to work with a few causes once he settles into the area.
Patty Tedesco, CIC
Commercial Service Manager
Patty started her career with Brooks, Todd and McNeil in 2002 as a Small Business Customer Service Representative and worked her way up to a Large Business Customer Service Representative and now Commercial Lines Service Manager.
Patty entered the insurance industry in 1987 working in both personal and commercial insurance for a small insurance agency in East Hartford, CT. In 1992 she was employed by a large insurance agency in West Hartford, CT, where she concentrated on commercial insurance. Since then Patty worked for two other insurance agencies only in commercial insurance, prior to coming to Brooks, Todd & McNeil.
She obtained her Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) Designation in 1998 and her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designation in 2005.

Debbie has been in the insurance casualty claim area for over 30 years. She joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil in January 2017 and is helping clients navigate the claims process. Debbie currently is working to complete her CPCU designation.
Debbie enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching her favorite sport teams. She is also active in her church community and provides support to their ministries.
Bob Cintron
Commercial Lines Loss Control Specialist & Commercial Lines Sales
Bob has 30 years of experience in insurance and risk management, which includes loss control, national account underwriting and various leadership roles. He currently provides stewardship for middle market and large accounts. This includes the structuring of insurance programs and the design and implementation of risk management programs and services. Bob specializes in a variety of industries including construction, wholesale/distribution, manufacturing and technology and financial institutions. In his free time, Bob enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids as well as travelling and doing yard work.
Kathi Schapp, CIC
Sales Support Executive
Kathi is a graduate of St Joseph College where she earned a BA in English, with minors in Music and Communication. After managing a record label for over 11 years, she made the move to Commercial Insurance where she worked as an Account Executive for 10 years. She enjoys her current role as the assistant to the Sales Department, which keeps her very busy while allowing her to flex her creative muscles as she handles various company projects.
Kathi doesn’t really have any spare time, as she also works as a professional dog handler on the weekends. She enjoys the traveling and gets great satisfaction from the many successes she has in this arena. She is proud to be the breeder/owner/handler of many champion Golden Retrievers.

Margaret has been cold calling/scheduling new business sales meetings for Commercial Business Sales and Group Medical Sales executives at Brooks, Todd & McNeil since 2005 – resulting in over 323 new business clients and generating over 8.5 million in sold premium. For 6 years prior, she loved inside sales in the telecom industry selling SDSL and T1 access nationwide, and before that was licensed to sell Life & Health insurance and provided support for large groups for WellCare, Suburban Health Plan & telemarketing for US Healthcare. Margaret has a BS in corporate Communications from SCSU.

Jenn is responsible for Brooks, Todd & McNeil’s social media presence and marketing initiatives, including website development, the Brooks, Todd & McNeil Bulletin and the agency blog. Jenn began her career on Capitol Hill working for United States Senator Susan Collins on her legislative team. She subsequently took a job with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners where she served as a policy advisor. Jenn owns a photography company and worked as Chief Marketing Officer for a tech start-up in New York City before settling in Connecticut with her husband and their little boy.
Jenn is a Parent Mentor for the Connecticut Birth to Three Family Connections Program providing support and encouragement to parents of infants and toddlers enrolled in the CT Birth to Three system. Jenn is also the Co-Director of Moms & More Club of West Hartford, a completely volunteer-run West Hartford-based parent organization designed to meet the needs of parents and children of West Hartford and the surrounding communities. The organization specializes in charitable giving, support for families, and activities for children and our community.
In her spare time, Jenn enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Christine earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from New Hampshire College. Upon graduation, she went into the Restaurant Management Business, before moving to CT to start a family. She joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil as a Sales Assistant to a Senior Account Executive. Christine has over 10 years office experience. She has enjoyed volunteering for different organizations over the years in her free time.

Chuck Cadario, CIC, ARM, (S. Windsor)
Chuck has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry with various insurance companies and independent agencies. He holds both the ARM (Associate in Risk Management) and CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designations and is responsible for Commercial Lines new business development and client retention.
In his free time Chuck enjoys spending time with his family, the outdoors, and following Boston professional sports teams.
Blair DuPont, CIC (Bristol)
Blair has 39 years of experience in the insurance industry, 36 of those with Brooks, Todd & McNeil. He was the first new person hired by Gordon Todd when Gordon purchased the Agency in 1980. He received his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in 1999.
Blair has volunteered many years as a youth baseball and football coach. He also has a life-long passion for auto racing, with 20 years of participation in road racing that took him all around the country. He currently lives with his wife and is active with his children and their families.
Jim Hunt (Burlington)
Jim has 21 years of experience in insurance and risk management, which includes running an auto dealer insurance program for 4 years. He currently provides stewardship for small commercial, middle market and select personal services. This includes the structuring of insurance programs and the guidance and implementation of risk management programs and services. Jim specializes in a variety of industries including construction, automotive, wholesale/distribution, manufacturing and technology.
In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids as well as coaching basketball and is very active in the Burlington Lions Club.
I have been working with Jim Hunt for five or so years. Being in the construction business there is always a need for changes staying up-to-date and providing my customers with proper paperwork. Jim and his team have always stayed very prompt and professional the whole time. It’s nice knowing I don’t have to worry about those needs with them. Bill joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2017 with over 30 years experience in the Insurance industry. He has worked as a commercial and personal lines sales agent and has worked with many of the top insurance carriers. He holds a CPCU designation and has taught continuing education courses. Bill is currently focusing on garages, contractors and restaurants and is really happy to join the Brooks, Todd & McNeil family.
In his free time Bill enjoys skiing, hiking, biking and spending time with his wife and two children. He is involved with his community and church where he has helped fixing up homes.

Peter has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and an MBA from The University of Connecticut. He joined Brooks, Todd, and McNeil in July 2018 after selling his own Farmers Insurance Agency and will continue to focus on both personal and commercial lines. He joined Brooks, Todd, and McNeil to provide best in class carrier markets to meet the ever-changing insurance needs of clients over the long run, offer clients better customized insurance solutions and deliver unparalleled customer care.
Peter lives in Manchester, CT. Outside the office he spends most of his time being a father to three children; McKenzie, Nicholas, and Jacob. He is active in The Knights of Columbus fraternal organization and coaching youth hockey. He is licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Todd has been with BT&M since 1997. He strongly believes in getting to know his clients and forming a long lasting relationship with each of them. He has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been on the sales side of insurance since 1999. Todd has consistently outperformed industry averages since 2003. He continues to raise the bar with a personal approach toward selling and a passion to work hard for his clients.
In his free time, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children on the beach. He is heavily involved in coaching baseball and developing young players from ages 7-18 within his local community.
Kate Gusy, CPIW (S. Windsor)
Kate has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry specializing in Personal Lines and has worked on the Carrier, Agency, and National Brokerage side of the business. She has been with Brooks, Todd, & McNeil since 2002 and is very proud to work in our South Windsor office, as a Senior Account Sales Executive. The majority of the Personal Lines business she writes is from referrals that she receives from satisfied customers. Kate enjoys meeting the many insurance needs of her customers.
In her spare time, Kate treasures spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys dancing, music, bowling, hiking, cooking, and traveling.

Mike Soderlund (Enfield)
Mike has been with Brooks, Todd & McNeil since 2013. His main focus is to provide a comprehensive risk analysis of people’s home and auto insurance needs. He completed the PLCU program in 2015. He graduated from Western New England College and has a B.S. in Business Administration.
In his spare time he enjoys playing hockey, listening to music and cooking for his family.

Ed Townsend (Torrington)
Ed has an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts NWCCC and Bachelors of Science in Economics of Tourism CCSU. He has been with Brooks Todd McNeil since 2011 as a personal lines agent. Ed enjoys informing clients of constant changes taking place within the insurance market place, how to navigate them, and how to utilize the Agency’s services to have the most successful experience possible.
Outside of the office, Ed focuses on family, friends, health, home, and community. He attends the YMCA daily. Since 2010, he has dedicated himself toward the development and coaching of the boys youth basketball program in Torrington, with the goal of winning a state championship.
Lou Servin
Lou started in the business in 2003 as a direct writer for MetLife auto and home products, which is where he learned the details of personal lines insurance coverage. Lou has helped hundreds of clients over the years to procure the proper insurance coverage to protect both their families’ property and income. Prior to his insurance life, Lou owned and operated an auto trim franchise in the greater Hartford area for over 25 years.
Lou has been married to his wife Karen for over 37 years, has lived in Torrington for over thirty years and has two boys that are both married and living in town; one a graphic artist, the other a tile contractor.
Noah Plen
Noah joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2020 as a personal lines sales agent. He graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2014 and received his PLCS designation in 2020. He is currently working on his CIC insurance designation. Noah strives to provide his clients with exemplary service and focuses on making sure that each individual has their risk exposures covered properly.
Noah is also a personal trainer and in his free time enjoys fitness, playing tennis and competing in triathlon races. He also likes to ski with friends and family. Noah is very active in the Toastmasters Public Speaking and Leadership Organization and enjoys volunteering at the local soup kitchen in Manchester.

Susan Dubiel
Susan has been in the Insurance industry for 20 years in several roles, the last 16 years of which have been in the commercial service arena. She specializes in Trucking and Contractors insurance as well as several other commercial policy types. Susan has the Associates in Underwriting (AU) Designation.
In her free time, Susan takes pleasure in reading, gardening, and cooking. She has a daughter who is an avid equestrian and enjoys supporting her in the ring.
Ted Wesolowski, CIC
Ted is a licensed Property and Casualty Advisor who started his career in the Insurance Industry after he graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2014 with a combined degree in Environmental Studies and Government. He worked at an insurance brokerage firm specializing in outdoor education, recreation, and conservation before he joined the Commercial Service Department at Brooks, Todd & McNeil. Ted received his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation in 2019.
In his free time, Ted enjoys spending his time outdoors hiking, paddling, skiing, and playing Ultimate Frisbee.
Rachel Drost
Rachel joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2019 and is a licensed Property and Casualty Advisor helping clients with policy renewals and assisting with questions related to their coverage.
Rachel enjoys volunteering and went to Puerto Rico after the 2018 hurricanes to help with clean up. She also spends her free time outdoors with family & making decorative wood décor.

Brenda Forrest
Brenda joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2015 as a Customer Service Representative after 11 years with the Hartford. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Mount Saint Mary’s University.
Brenda is originally from Danbury and has lived in Oakville for the past 30 years. She has two sons and enjoys reading in her spare time. Brenda also served as Secretary and then President of Griffin School PTO, Gridiron Club mom and helped with her son’s Boy Scout troop.
Keena Monsam, ACSR
Keena has been with Brooks, Todd & McNeil since 2004. She started her career in Customer Service in 1987 in the manufacturing industry. Keena has an Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation and continues her studies in the insurance field. She enjoys working with her clients and servicing their insurance needs. Keena is a Personal Lines Trainer & Client Service Executive.
In her free time Keena enjoys sewing, biking, volunteering on Sundays at the Colebrook Store and spending time with her family and friends. She also volunteers for the annual YMCA 10k race on Highland Lake.

Lynn has worked in the insurance industry since 1976 and is experienced in both commercial and personal insurance. She joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2013 as a Personal Lines Client Service Executive.
Lynn loves spending time with her beautiful granddaughters and watching professional football, baseball and hockey. She also enjoys knitting and donating hats for patients receiving cancer treatment and baby blankets for hospital pediatric departments. Lynn also served on the Inland Wetlands Commission and on the Ethics Committee for the Town of Winsted.
Joann Sherman, ACSR
Joann joined the Brooks, Todd & McNeil team in 2004 assisting clients with their personal insurance policies. Joann has been in the insurance industry for 19 years working in Personal Lines Customer Service and she has earned the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation.
Joann enjoys spending time with her family either by attending swim meets, football games or camping. She also enjoys volunteering with her son’s football team.
Amy Woodilla, ACSR
Amy has worked at Brooks, Todd & McNeil since 2005. Prior to that she worked in the accounts receivable department at the Torrington Company Corporate Headquarters. Amy has an Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation and is currently pursuing her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
Amy enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with her family & friends. She also participates in the local walks for Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, Relay for Life and Breast Cancer awareness.

Mary joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil December 11, 2017 as part of the Marketing P/L Service Department. She has been in the insurance industry 20 years in servicing, marketing and claims. In her free time Mary enjoys skiing and hiking in Vermont and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Joyce Woods
Joyce has been in the insurance business since 1978. She was part of an agency that was acquired by Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 1999. Joyce is a Personal Lines Marketing Specialist.
Joyce and her husband enjoy spending time with family, especially their 10 grandchildren. Joyce also enjoys line dancing and singing in her church choir.
Bill Hall, CDMP
William J. Hall began his insurance career in 1988 with The Hartford Insurance. Over the years, Bill has held various positions of increasing responsibility within underwriting, service, and marketing management. Customer service awards have been a constant denominator in Bill’s career. He attributes this success to always thinking about your insurance as if it is his own.
In his spare time, Bill enjoys family, friends, helping others, writing and reading, along with his childhood hobbies of playing guitar/writing songs and performing magic. Bill is a published author of multiple books distributed worldwide. However, family, friends, and helping others smile are the most rewarding. Bill runs a small vending business where 100% of the profits go towards monthly donations to the National Children Cancer Society. Bill has two wonderful sons and resides in Plainville.
Paula Lantieri
Paula joined team Brooks, Todd & McNeil as a Personal Lines Marketing Representative with over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. She began her insurance career with The Hartford and from there joined Arbella Insurance Company. During her time with Arbella, Paula received her Master’s Degree in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College.
Paula is a registered Yoga instructor and has taught Yoga for over five years. She is also passionate about causes that support those with Multiple Sclerosis after her father lost his battle with the disease.

Tim Pusch
Tim has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined the Brooks, Todd & McNeil team in 1998. For the past 30 years he has specialized in the Life, Health and Employee Benefits business. Tim currently sits on the Board of Directors of the CT Association of Health Underwriters (CTAHU).
Tim was educated in the Eastchester, NY public school system and then earned a B.A from Colgate University and an M.B.A from the University of Virginia- Darden School.
Tim’s community involvement includes being on the Board of Directors of the NW CT Chamber of Commerce, where he is also Chairman of the Insurance Committee, and on the Board of the Directors of the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center (SMPAC), a 501©3 organization which hosts both local and national artists and festivals.
Tim has two sons, a daughter and two grandchildren.
Elaine Boratko
Elaine holds a Connecticut Life and Health Insurance license and has been in the insurance industry for more than 25 years. She enjoys helping our customers navigate the ever-changing world of health insurance; including policy design, regulation, and law. In addition to her position as an Account Manager in the Life and Health Department, she performs a number of human resource duties for the agency. Elaine has been with Brooks, Todd & McNeil since 1999.

Email PaulPaul has 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, and he joined Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 1999. He works in the Life and Health Division focusing on ascertaining the needs of his clients and providing solutions for them.
In his spare time Paul enjoys watching his son and daughter participate in various school and travel team sports. He has volunteered for Special Olympics and has coached multiple sports youth teams over the past 40 years. Paul also enjoys vacationing with his wife and children on Cape Cod every summer. His favorite hobbies include bike riding, walking and playing sports with his children.

Marianne earned her BS in accounting from New Hampshire College and has over 27 years of accounting experience – the most recent 17 years in the independent insurance agency environment. Marianne thrives on financial analysis and project modeling and never shies away from being a day-to-day accountant, when needed. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family.
Brian Daly CWCA
Vice-President Southeast Division
Brian has 40 years experience in the Insurance industry. He has worked as an agent and in numerous management positions with various insurance companies and independent agency organizations. He holds a CWCA designation (Certified Workers Compensation Advisor). This is a Nationally recognized designation that specializes in working with clients to help control Workers Compensation exposure and costs. He and the sales, service and marketing teams are accountable for building & delivering value added solutions to our clients.
In his free time Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also enjoys golf, skiing and his favorite sports teams.
Will Morgan (SE Division)
Will Morgan joined the Southeast Division of Brooks, Todd & McNeil in 2019 as a Sales Account Executive that specializes in personal and business insurance. He is a graduate of Spartanburg Community College with an Associates of Science Degree.
Will began his career in insurance as an agent with Allstate in 2014 first as a service rep and sales agent then to Financial Advisor Benefits where he focused on ancillary benefits and health insurance for independent financial advisors. In 2019, Will completed the program to become a Personal Lines Coverage Specialist.
